Why appliances are hard to get rid of

An old fridge is one of the heaviest and most awkward things in a house. It does not fit in most cars, it can scratch floors and door frames on the way out, and you cannot just leave it at the dumpster. Appliances also need more care at disposal than a sofa does. Refrigerators and freezers hold refrigerant, and electronics are kept out of household trash in many places. That is a big part of why a store or a city sometimes will not take them and why people call us instead.

What appliance removal costs

Single items start at $25. A full-size refrigerator or a washer and dryer pair costs more than a microwave, and some appliances that need special care can cost more than furniture of the same size. Several appliances, or appliances going out with other junk, are priced together by how much room they take in our 15-foot truck. You hear the price before we load anything. See junk removal prices for how the numbers work.

Before we arrive

Getting these few things right keeps the job quick and safe:

  • Tell us if it is still connected. Water lines, dryer vents and especially gas lines should be shut off and disconnected before the day. If you are not sure how, ask a plumber or appliance tech.
  • Empty it. Clear food out of fridges and freezers a day ahead and leave the doors open to dry. Take clothes out of the washer and dryer.
  • Tell us where it is. A fridge in a second floor condo, a freezer in the back of the garage and a washer in a hall closet are three very different carries. Photos of the path out help.

How appliance pickup works

  1. Text a photo or call. Show the appliance and the way out.
  2. Get your price for exactly what you showed us.
  3. Pick a day that works for you. We confirm the booking.
  4. We take it out. The crew moves it out, loads it and hauls it away.

Appliance removal for landlords and businesses

When a rental unit gets a new fridge or range, or a tenant moves out and leaves broken appliances behind, the old ones have to go. Offices replace copiers, printers and break-room fridges too. One call covers the appliance and anything else left in the unit or the office.

Where we pick up appliances

We remove appliances across Orlando and nearby cities including Kissimmee, Oviedo, Deltona and Winter Park. Clearing out the whole garage where the old freezer lives? See garage cleanouts. Emptying a house after a move or a loss? Our estate cleanouts take the appliances along with everything else. Getting rid of the couch at the same time? Add it to the same load with furniture removal.

Appliance Removal questions

Can you remove appliances and electronics?
Yes. We remove refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers, microwaves, water heaters, TVs, computers and printers, and they go to proper disposal.
Will junk removal take TVs?
Yes. Flat screens and older tube TVs both go. Tell us the size when you send a photo.
Is there free appliance removal in Orlando?
Some stores take your old appliance when they deliver a new one, so ask when you buy. The City of Orlando also has a bulk pickup for some large items. See free junk removal in Orlando for what to check. If neither works, we pick it up on the day you choose.
Do I need to disconnect the appliance first?
Tell us when you book if it is still connected to water, gas or power. Gas lines in particular should be shut off and capped by a qualified person before we move the appliance.
Do appliances cost more to remove?
Some can. Appliances that need special care before disposal, like units with refrigerant, can cost more than a piece of furniture the same size. We confirm the price before we start.
